Award-winning author MARK YOSHIMOTO NEMCOFF was one of the first writer-producers to make new media a full-time career. His work has been featured in Playboy Magazine, News of the World and of course on the internet. A former recipient of the Warner Bros. Drama Writers Fellowship, Mark has written for TV and has had the pleasure of seeing his work directed by Bruce Campbell. A trained musician, he also did time as a TV music composer where he penned original music for the ‘94 Winter Olympics on CBS as well as several national network series themes. His book WHERE’S MY F*CKING LATTE? was featured on Access Hollywood.
In 2005, Mark launched the podcast PACIFIC COAST HELLWAY one day on his commute home and the rest, as they say… is history. Starting in November of that year, PCH began a 5-days a week run on Sirius Satellite Radio on the Stars Channel until April 2007 when they finally figured out what he was saying on air. Both Mark and PCH were featured in August 2006’s issue of Playboy Magazine, which called the show “The world’s most offensively enlightened podcast”.
In July of 2006, Mark launched the hit horror series SHADOW FALLS (now with its third season starting in the summer of 2010). Later, in December ‘06, came the launch of the serialized audiobook NUMBER ONE WITH A BULLET or “N1B” as it’s known to its worldwide cadre of fans (a.k.a. “Bulletheads). N1B would later go on to win the Parsec Award at DragonCon in 2007. What followed were several more audiobooks including the gory fan favorite DIARY OF A MADMAN and the all-ages action adventure novel TRANSISTOR RODEO. More MYN fiction can be found at his author site: WORDSUSHI.com
These days Mark can be seen doing his twisted turn on the news on THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK.
He has also been known to moonlight as a rock journalist.
